"Vietnam Explorer Tour" leads you truly travel experiences while staying with local people, cycling on small paths. 

Day 1: Saigon – Arrival (-/-/-)

Welcome by our friendly local tour guide on arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport/ Hochiminh City, transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Leisure time. Overnight in Saigon/ Hochiminh City.

Day 2: Saigon – Cuchi tunnels – Saigon (B/L/-)
Depart for Cuchi tunnels, built by Viet Cong fighters during the Vietnam War.
At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to Cambodian border and was three levels deep. There are more than 200km of underground tunnels, consisting of a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. The remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the war must have been like. Back to Saigon for lunch at local restaurant.
Discover Hochiminh city (formerly Saigon), the biggest economic center in the country: Opera house, Notre Dame cathedral, Central Post Office, Palace of Reunification, War Remnants Museum, a lacquer workshop. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 3: Saigon – Cai Be – Vinh Long (B/L/D)
Journey to Caibe district, Tien Giang province. Enjoy a wonderful cruise to visit Caibe floating market, emerald rice fields, lush green orchards of tropical fruits. Walk along Monkey bridges linking villages, hamlets and narrow canals. Interact with local people whilst learning cooking lesson with your host family. Home stay in Cai Be.

Day 4: Vinh Long – Can Tho (B/L/-)
Continue walking or cycling on the small roads which connect villages or leisure discovery around the village.
Take a boat trip to Vinh Long town. Disembark at Vinh Long harbor to see local market.
Proceed to Can Tho. Upon arrival, visit Binh Thuy ancient house and Khmer pagoda. Check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 5: Can Tho – Saigon (B/L/D)
Enjoy a cruise to access to Cai Rang floating market, the most important in the region. Buyers and sellers are busy to exchange or trade local products or tropical fruits, vegetables etc...on board. Afterwards, drive back to Saigon. Dinner cruise on Saigon river to see Saigon by night landscapes. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 6: Saigon – Nha Trang (B/-/-)
Today we fly to Nha Trang, famous as seaside resort town. Check-in at the hotel. Leisure time for your own discovery. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 7: Nha Trang (B/L/-)
Full day to discover Nha Trang delights: Po Nagar Cham towers, Oceanographic Institute, Long Son pagoda where you have a wonderful view over Nha Trang bay and the whole city and shopping. Overnight in Nha Trang.

Day 8: Nha Trang – Hoian (B/L/-)
Morning flight to Danang.
Meet on arrival at Danang Airport, transfer to Hoian. Enjoy a boat trip on Thu Bon river to discover Thanh Ha pottery village. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 9: Hoian – My Son Holy Land (B/L/-)
After breakfast, discover Hoian ancient town, known to early Western merchants, the city was one of the major trading centers of South East Asia in the 16th century. Hoian has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. Visit historic merchants and community houses, places of worship, Japanese bridge. 
PM: Drive to My Son sanctuary, the former royal city of Cham empire during 4-16th centuries. My Son was listed as UNESCO’s World Heritage in 1999. Back to your hotel for refreshment. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 10: Hoian – Hue (B/L/-)
Then depart for Hue.
The scenic 3 hours and half drive via Hai Van pass offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages. Visit Cham museum on the way.
We continue further north to the charming historic city of Hue. Lunch at local restaurant.
Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to discover Thien Mu pagoda, the wonderful architectural structures for religious worship in Hue.
Then check-in at hotel. Free time. Overnight in Hue.

Day 11: Hue – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Explore Hue, the former Royal city of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties: visit the Imperial Citadel, Forbidden city and Tu Duc King tomb.
Fly to Hanoi. Meet on arrival at Hanoi Airport, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 12: Hanoi – Lao Cai (B/L/-)
We discover Hanoi-the charming capital of Vietnam today:
Hochiminh's mausoleum complex (closed on Monday, Friday and every afternoon, in October & November yearly) and his residence, Presidential Palace, One pillar pagoda, Hoa Lo prison, French colonial quarter, Temple of Literature, Hanoi Opera, Museum of Ethnology.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Then explore Hoan Kiem lake and a short walk in Hanoi Old quarter.
Attend a performance of water puppet show.
Transfer to Hanoi Railways Station to catch a local night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 13: Lao Cai – Bac Ha market – Sapa (B/L/-)
Early arrival at Laocai Railways Station.
Have a simple breakfast in Lao Cai.
Depart to Bacha market, the biggest colorful market in Laocai province, held every Sunday morning. You can see the ethnic minorities go to the market on the back-horse or on foot. The market is bustling from 9.00am to 12:30pm. Lunch at local restaurant.
Then visit Hmong’s King palace in ancient house built with French architecture.
Drive back to Laocai before climbing to sapa hill tribe. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 14: Sapa villages – Hanoi (B/L/-)
AM: Visit Sapa market, short trek to Laochai & Tavan villages where we meet H’mong, Dzao, Dzay people.
PM: Explore Taphin village with Black H’mong people.
Return to Laocai to take the train night to Hanoi. Overnight on train.

Day 15: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
Early arrive in Hanoi, transfer to hotel for breakfast.
08:00am depart for Halong bay, 180km east of Hanoi, listed as World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 1994.
12:00 we board a traditional junk to discover the 8th World Wonder where the movie "Indochine" was realized with Catherine Deneuve, French star in the 1990's. Lunch on boat with fresh seafood. It is time to relax on the deck through the most beautiful landscapes with more than 2,000 islands and islets limestone, rising from the emerald water. Visit a natural cave, the most picturesque grotto in the bay. Swimming (if the weather permits) and relaxing on the deck.
Dinner & Overnight on board.

Day 16: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Continue our excursion until lunch.
12:00 Drive back to Hanoi. Visit a workshop of potteries en route and Trinh Pagoda – Yen Tu.
Upon arrival at hotel, check-in. FREE TIME. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 17: Hanoi – cycling (B/L/-)
Today experience a leisure cycling around the West Lake to see ancient pagodas and temples or interact with local people and shopping. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 18: Hanoi – Departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel,
Leisure time until transfer to Hanoi International Airport for departure flight."Vietnam Explorer Tour" ends. Check-out before 12:00.
